I wanted to post a couple live clips from some of the most amazing bands I've seen, or have not seen, for that matter. If Garbage tours again, I'll revise my statement. Anyways, here are some amazing live videos that are definitely worth taking the time to check out.

Baby, Did You Forget To Take Your Meds?

So I thought I'd post another blog about music, or more specifically, another band I love. Placebo. Rather than try to think of some clever info to give you, I thought I'd just copy a bit of what's on Wikipedia about the band...

Placebo is an alternative rock band formed in London in 1994, consisting of Brian Molko, Stefan Osdel and Steve Forrest. To date, they have released five studio albums, six EPs and twenty-seven singles. The band has gained a considerable amount of international recognition, including non-English speaking countries. They have sold over one million albums in the UK and over 10 million worldwide.

Having posted that bit for you, here are the albums you need to download:

Without You I'm Nothing

Black Market Music

Sleeping With Ghosts

Once More With Feeling

Do You Attend Your Relief Society Meetings?

I know I do! This last weekend my band, The Relief Society, played at Cafe Nite at SUU. We opened for the apparently world renowned (if you count Utah as the entire world) Allred. He was a nice guy. Great musician, but not my style. Thanks to all of you who came out to show your support!
There were loads of familiar faces, and that always means a lot.
Here's the set we played, to the best of my knowledge:

  • Heather
  • On The Ball
  • The Groove
  • Angles and Demands
  • There, There
  • Not The End
  • Heads Up Penny
Here are some photos, all of which were taken by Skott Chandler, check out his work, it's amazing!!!

Not Your Typical Garbage...

This post is dedicated to only one thing: Garbage. If you don't know who they are, you are really missing out. There are several posts I'm going to dedicate to bands and artists, and I thought was the most important one to do first, yes, even more important than Nine Inch Nails. There are a couple albums from this band, I always hoped for more, but unfortunately, they broke up. Anyways, here's a link to their site, and a list of my favorite songs...

  1. Special
  2. The Trick Is To Keep Breathing
  3. #1 Crush
  4. The World Is Not Enough
  5. Run Baby, Run
  6. It's All Over But The Crying
  7. Vow
  8. I Think I'm Paranoid
  9. Parade
  10. You Look So Fine
There are so many more I'd looooove to list. If you want a continuation of this list, let me know. Let me know what you think of this amazing group!

Ready, Steady, GO!!!

This last weekend was CRAZY busy to say the least. Thursday and Friday were the Region 9 Championships. We did terrific! There were some wonderful swims from my swimmers! I couldn't have been more excited! After watching the swims on Thursday night, I barely slept because I was so excited to see what was going to happen on Friday. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed or let down. Here are a couple of pics...

Something I Forgot To Mention...

ALL of the posts on this blog are open to discussion. I think I've enabled comments, but we'll see. I spend loads of time on a computer, but blogging is new to me. Give a huge THANKS to Lindsey for helping me get this heap off the ground. All the beautiful wigets and sleek tools are thanks to her.

How To Beat Insomnia...

My body has absolutely no internal clock. There are nights I can sleep for 12 hours, have a nap later in the day, then sleep another ten hours at night. Other nights, I sleep for 2 hours. Makes no sense. But whatever the case, on the nights that I'm wide awake and need to go to sleep, I rely on these time-tested and proven methods of sedation. Feel free to include any that you know work for you!

  • The Life Aquatic
  • The Matrix
  • The Princess Bride
  • Any Harry Potter
  • Star Wars I-VI
  • Any Lord Of The Rings
  • Stardust
  • Superman Returns
  • Wall E
  • Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy
  • Stranger Than Fiction
  • Muppet Treasure Island
Best of luck and sweet dreams!
